One of the biggest obstacle being a Freelance Logo Designer is getting Payment Late. Its very annoying, if your clients Paying you late or not bothered to pay your fees. Even I lost many of my Fees/charge. I tried many ways to overcome from this issue and found something interesting tricks. No matter in which field of freelancing you are. These tips surely help you to overcome or prevent Late fee.

#1.Know Your Client:
Before doing any deal with your client, its very important to know about him/her. You can ask someone who already worked with them. Get some insight information about your client such as
- The Client behavior
- Talking Habit
- Payment habit
This will help you to take decision whether to work with them or simply Tell them a Big NO.
#2.Has some Agreement:
No matter who the client is, you should deal an agreement with them. Provide complete terms and condition and don’t forget to include the payment Terms. May be it will something like this:
If the Payment is not done on time, some extra money will be charge.
This will give them a stunning warning not to delay payment in any circumstance.
#3.Ask for Prepayment:
I always ask for prepayment whenever some one ask me to work with them. This really cut down the signs of Late payment. You can ask 25% to 50% of prepayment of overall amount of the Project. If the client, doesn’t refuses to pay the advance payment, it is advised not to work with them. Because you know your work and this way you can cut the stress or waiting for the payment.
#4. Use Invoice
Earlier I never used any invoice method, but since one of my friend Sreejesh Suresh, recommend me to use invoice for better tracking of projects. I really love when I send invoice to my client and they immediately pay my charges after some hours. Its good to use online Invoice services.
#5. Be in Contact:
Sometimes may be many time client forget about the payment, so its your duty to remind them. Keep constant communication between them. Make use of social networking sites, to keep connected with them and remind them whenever necessary.Or send them s prevent late fee notice.
#6. Provide Easy Payment Option:
This is what I really want to discuss, because I am facing the same problem. I didn’t paid some amount for some of my work done by a freelancer. What Actually I am facing is the payment option. I tried many ways to pay him, but unluckily all mode doesn’t work. So its very nice if you provide multiple payment option.
