Change Background Of a Picture In CorelDraw

May 11, 2012 by Nikita Mishra

Did you ever want to change the background of your photo? I think, yes. We always want to change the bad background of our photo. Sometimes our photos are good but because of bad background we don’t show it to others. Don’t worry; I have a solution for you all. You can change the background of your photos by some simple steps. Let’s start the tutorial “Change Background Of a Picture In CorelDraw”

Read my earlier tutorial: Create a polaroid Collage in CorelDraw

Final Result:

Tutorial Details:

Program: Corel Draw X4 (You can use other version also)

Difficulty Level: Easy

Completion Time: 10 Minutes

Basic Elements:

You’ll need only two things:

Now let’s start.

Step 1:

First of all open your CorelDraw program. Create a new file. Set the paper size to A4 and change it to landscape view.

Step 2:

Go to the file menu and click import (You can also press Ctrl + I on the keyboard). Choose the image you want to change the background of (that is first basic element) and click import. Now click and drag the image wherever you want (or hit Enter to bring the image at the centre).

Step 3:

Click on the Bezier Tool in the tool box. And draw the lines on the part whose background you want to change. And remember to end with the starting node (Means end with the same node from where you started). By doing this you can fill color in it. Shape it using shape tool (It is situated in the tool box). Color it with any color. After doing everything you will get something like this:

Step 4:

Select the background image and go to Effects–> Powerclip–> Place Inside Container. One dark arrow will come. Click that arrow on the shape which you have created. Now you will see the part without its background. If you want to edit its position then go to Effects–> Powerclip–> Edit Contents. Edit the image position. After editing click on Finish Editing Object. To remove the outline of the image right click on the cross that is top of the color box (or go to outline tool in the tool box and click None). You’ll get like this:

Step 5:

Now import the background image(Second basic element) which you want. I think you know how to import it (As I have told this in starting). Select it and go to Arrange–> Order–> To Back Of Page and the photo will go behind and arrange the photo as you want. I did it like this:

So, how’s it? Try this tutorial and if you have any difficulty then ask me. I am always here for you.

These tutorial can be very useful for people who are in to movie editing or graphic designing. This can also be helpful if you are android app developer who create apps like cyberflix tv apk which is a movie streaming apps.

Design a cool background to showcase your designs

March 20, 2012 by Ifham khan

Hello friends,

This is the first tutorial, of MashDesigning regarding the designs of background. Hope you all love it.

Backgrounds are the backbone of designs which put beside the designs, there is a lot of misconceptions that backgrounds are nothing when you show your designs to world, but let me explain you, it the most amazing thing when it comes to show your designs. Yes, this is the basic tutorial, but  its worth learning correctly.

There are some factors which we have to be take care:

1.Color combination

Color combination is the most important thing I ever learn in my designing career. Because it is the only thing which makes a simple text to a rocking design. So, you need to think deeply about the color combination or scheme. There are some of the most color schemes out there which works great some are like, gray and white, orange and red, pink and red, grey and crimson red etc. Remember this combination works mostly in backgrounds.

2.Background size

Yet another important thing to be take care. It is upon you which designs are you show casing. For example if it is a logo, then use 800×600 px or 800×800 px.

3. Combination between the background and the design.

Without combination between the background and the design, your whole design going to be waste and you probably start hating designing. So, be careful whenever you choose background color for your design which you are going to show case.

So, this is enough to make your background cool, lets start with the designing procedure.

1. start Photoshop

2. Create a new file with 800×800 px (CTRL+N for new file) see Image for full setting.

2. Now using the rectangular tool create a new canvas of white color.

3.Now set the foreground color to #ddd9da and background color to #ffffff .

4. Then double click on the shape in the layer menu to open the Blending option

5. Now select Gradient overlay then choose the first gradient

6. Click on and then choose radial, make it reverse and make scale to 100%

7. Now let see how it will look like after putting some graphics on the background.

I am using my own created graphics. Here is the picture

8. Here is the final Preview of the background, also I used shadow effect in the image, that we will learn on the next tutorial.

Hope you enjoy creating a cool and simple background. Thanks for visiting my blog. 🙂
