Whether you are in any freelancing field, the first thing is to market yourself, build network online and offline world too. Freelancing isn’t ends in online world, you should take advantage of your offline world too. Today I am going to share some of my tips, which I used to Increase my freelancing network offline. Well, it’s hard to market yourself in offline world, as most of us shy to talk face to face with client. But believe me word of mouth is one the best way to market yourself and to increase freelancing network. So here are some of my tips, you can use it in your own way.

Advertise yourself in your friends circle First.

The first and most important part is to promote yourself and your freelancing work. What you have to do is talk to your friends about the work you do, share your projects with them. Even you can ask them for their help. (Personally I pay them what I ask them for) What I got by paying them is they keep talking about my self, that what I do, How is my work and the most nice is they don’t end talking about me. All this things help me to grow my business, I get many clients from my friends referral, whenever they had a talk about designing with their friends or any person, they immediately provide my number to talk with me. And finally this lead to catch some of potential clients.

Visit local meet-ups with your business card.

Meet ups are another most amazing place to market yourself. But don’t forget to keep your business card with you. When you meet with other people of your own field or any other field, you have a great chance to exchange your business cards. Talk about your service with them, show some of your projects, the best work is your own business card. Have a nice talk, be friendly so that they can remember you in future.

Produce Pamphlet and distribute it.

Yes you can make use of print advertising to increase your network. Pamphlet are another great tool to advertise yourself, which cost very fare amount. Visit any place where a large number of people gather, Mostly pamphlet are distributes at Railway station, cafe’s Malls, Hotel and so on. Your pamphlet should have the ability to attract clients immediately. Make them easier to contact with you.

Send bulk SMS to the local people.

Yes, this is something odd to many freelancer, but it really works. Contact any Network service provider, for sending the SMS to the local people of your city. Sometime it really hard to handle the phone calls, instead provide your Email add in the SMS template. You will receive 15-20 orders a day.

Advertise yourself on Local Magazine and Newspaper.

We can understand that its a world of Internet world, but again the majority of people read newspapers, magazines etc. So it will surely benefit your freelancing career too. Contact any Local newspaper and ask them for a small advertisement on any page of the newspaper or magazine. The charges of them are high but you will surely cover and earn more than what you have invest.
